Innovative director and cult favorite Quentin Tarantino’s movies are notable for their graphic violence and excellent dialogue, but also for their colorful characters: drug dealers, gangsters, hillbilly perverts, ninjas, a down-and-out boxer, a psychotic stuntman and a dead bride, to name a few. His latest movie, Inglourious Basterds tackles World War II and focuses on a select group of Jewish-American soldiers who are out for retribution in Nazi-occupied France. Tarantino told Entertainment Weekly:

It’s a revenge fantasy. That’s the big hook that would put me in the theater — and I’m not even Jewish.

When asked about working with superstar actor Brad Pitt, Tarantino praised Pitt’s commitment to staying in character, even when off of the set, saying:

It was great. I could spend all day hanging out with the character I created.

Inglourious Basterds also stars Mike Myers, Diane Kruger, B.J. Novak, Julie Dreyfus and Eli Roth.
