Washington (ANI): German actress Diane Kruger has revealed that she nearly lost her role in Inglourious Basterds, for director Quentin Tarantino thought she was ‘too American’. The National Treasure actress said the filmmaker thought the star was not German enough to be a part of the Nazi vengeance drama. Buzz up! “They eventually convinced him I was actually German,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying. “But he still wouldn’t see me because he didn’t think I could be strong enough to play this character,” she added. But the star said she was bent on bagging the part and managed to convince Tarantino that she would do justice to the job. She further said: “I can be really obnoxious when I want something badly – like a part in Quentin’s movie.”
